Columbia Pictures and Iguana Producciones announced last week that they had acquired the rights to the Xena feature movie, in spite of efforts by Robert Tapert, Xena: Warrior Princess co-creator to get the rights back. Executive producer Andy Marks also announced that they have signed screenwriter Hans Bauer (Anaconda) to write the screenplay. Roland Emmerich (Godzilla, Independence Day) will be the director and the $20 million film will be shot in locations in Mexico and in Chile. -We respect the decision of everybody involved in the original Xena series to not take any part in this new feature, Marks says, but in fact we had no problem to recast it. It's something intended to new fans. Therefore, so far the movie's cast is:
Xena: Demi Moore
Gabrielle: Alicia Silverstone
Adonnis (Gabrielle's husband): Hayden Christensen
Ares: Vin Diesel
Joxer: Jim Carrey
Aphrodite: Paris Hilton
Callisto: Pamela Anderson"

Надеюсь, что это шутка, и я не доживу до того момента, когда у Габриэль снова будет муж, а Каллисто будет играть Андерсон
